Marching Unit Events

Each year the Mt. Hebron Marching Unit (MTHMU) has a variety of events in which they participate. Some of the events are annual traditions and some vary year to year.

Summer Band Camp
Disney (Next trip 2019)

Each year the MTHMU takes a Spring trip to perform and compete. For the 2016-17 school year the MTHMU traveled to Walt Disney World in Florida! Disney is a trip that is taken every other year.

Every August the MTHMU starts the marching season a couple of weeks before school to get ready for the upcoming season. The  camp ends with a Pass in Review of the MTHMU and a performance of a portion of the field show.

Half Time Show - RADIO PLAYLIST

The half time show has a new theme and a new set of scores for the MTHMU to practice and perform at all of the home football games throughout the fall season. For the 2017 season, the band performed Cheerleader, Daft Punk Medley, Love Drunk, and Pompeii. Both the Cavaliers and Lancers performed during the halftime show.

When the football team travels, so does the band. Members from the band go to the away football games and play to support the Vikings football team. This is a voluntary event, but out Pep Band is usually larger than the home team's band. A great time is had by all!

The Orchards Parade takes place around Halloween. The MTHMU members decorate their instruments and sometimes themselves to march through a neighborhood near Mt. Hebron. The parade ends with a performance by the marching band and trunk or treating for the kids.

Future Viking Night occurs in October at one of the football games at Mt. Hebron. The 8th grade students who will attend Mt. Hebron the following year are invited to come and spend some time with the Marching Unit and experience the fun. The 4th and 5th graders from the various feeder elementary schools are invited to participate as well.
